Cancellation conditions and possible additional costs
Order cancellation policy and formation of contract
By placing an order on the helsinginliikennekoulu.fi website, the student and any other payer have accepted the terms of the order, such as the payment obligation, cancellation policies and contract terms. A contractual relationship is considered to have arisen between Helsinginliikennekoulu Oy and the subscriber and payer from the date of order confirmation. The contract is valid for one year unless a longer period of validity is agreed upon separately.
14-day right of withdrawal without costs according to the Consumer Protection Act:
- begins with the receipt of the order confirmation by email
- concerns training modules leading to a driving license or a driver's license
- expires when the student starts using the service they have ordered
- does not apply to digitally delivered content only, such as an EAS course, because user accounts are activated and thus the service begins immediately after registration
After the right of withdrawal has expired
When canceling an order or interrupting studies, the student is obliged to pay the interruption fee and the charge for the lessons provided according to the price list. If the total price of the purchased service is less than the interruption fee according to the price list, the interruption fee is equal to the price of the service.
Additional costs that may arise during the contract.
Driving lesson not cancelled or cancelled too late
- If you need to cancel a driving lesson, it must be done at least 24 hours before the booked time.
- After this, a cancellation fee will be charged for cancelled or unused driving lessons (simulator lessons €40, driving lessons with an instructor €80).
- We charge €190 for an RTK training track day (three-hour package) that is not cancelled or cancelled too late.
Cancellation conditions in case of illness:
- If you become ill, please notify us as soon as possible and cancel your bookings immediately, but no later than 8 hours before your booked appointment via text or WhatsApp. So it's best to cancel the night before if you feel like you're going to be sick.
- For non-cancelled driving lessons, we charge a cancellation fee according to the price list, and for lessons canceled less than 8 hours before the reserved time, we charge 50% of the cancellation fee.
- In cases of illness, we do not charge for booked times if the driving lesson is cancelled at least 8 hours before the booked time and the student submits a sick leave certificate to the driving school within 14 days of the cancellation.
NOTE! If there is a handling or driving test for the same day, it must be canceled no later than the previous weekday during the opening hours of the driving school office! Ajovarma Oy charges 50% of the price of a late-cancelled driving or handling test, and a new test reservation cannot be made until the non-refundable fee has been paid. After signing the teaching contract, you also give the driving school permission to book Ajovarma exams on your behalf, but in any case, you will also receive Ajovarma’s booking confirmation for this driving test booking and information about the driving test date from the driving school.
Other fees not included in the packages
Course package prices do not include:
- Authority fees for Ajovarma
- additional driving lessons, teaching materials and other separate services
- Driving school vehicle use renewal test and
- Possible damage payments are mainly only in the vehicle when the student is the responsible driver.

What is good to know about the conditions for canceling driving lessons?
- If you need to cancel a driving lesson, it must be done at least 24 hours before the agreed time.
- After this, a cancellation fee will be charged for canceled or unused driving lessons (in the simulator €40, driving lesson with a teacher €80)
- We charge €160 for an RTK training track day that cannot be canceled or is canceled too late (for a package of three driving hours).
Cancellation conditions in cases of illness:
- If you get sick, notify us as soon as possible and cancel the reservations immediately, however, by 10:00 the same morning at the latest.
- We charge a cancellation fee according to the price list for non-cancellable driving lessons, and 50% of the cancellation fee for those canceled after 10:00.
- In cases of illness, we do not invoice for the reserved times, if the driving lesson is canceled by 10:00 the same morning at the latest and the student submits a sick leave certificate to the driving school within 14 days of the cancellation.
